"Ferah,

My only concern before you make your final decision is the timing of the trip. In October both I and my sister will be working. This means we will not have any time (except weekends) to show you the city. Only my mom is available to travel with you and her English is not sufficient.  Also if you travel to where grandma lives, it is a long haul and again my mom’s English is minimal.

You would have much better time if you could arrive during the summer months.  Then Arzu and I would have plenty of time to show you around, go to museums etc with you.

The decision is up to you. (1) Check if you can make it in August – because Arzu’s school starts the first week of September.  (2) Postpone the trip to next June (3) or continue with your plans for October.

It is your call. Just let me know soon.

I think you should still go in October...I remember you saying your grandma's getting older, and pushing it off til next June might be too long. Being with her might be more important than seeing all the museums Monday through Friday...and on the weekends it sounds like your cousins will have the availability if you plan every weekend you're there. Are you going by yourself? With Sera/Erol? Just wondering.
I think it will be a wonderful experience for you no matter when you go, it will just be a little different if you go when there are less people to "help" you. Work on your Turkish from now until October, and do your best. Your Grandma will still love you even if your Turkish is terrible.

Love, Amanda
